Inspired by the chic epoque of Art Deco, Ekaterina Elizarova reimagined this iconic style to create Egocentric. The design captures the essence of the era while incorporating a modern sensibility. Egocentric stands out with its unique properties and strengths. The commode is available in two versions, both featuring an attractive arch shape and intricate design. The combination of different materials, such as wood, polished copper, and filtered glass, adds depth and richness to the piece. Each commode is carefully painted, lacquered, and polished several times to achieve a mirror-like effect.

Measuring 1000 mm in width, 500 mm in depth, and 1650 mm in height, Egocentric commands attention with its showy design and intricate details from all sides. The beveled hexagons, lines, spherical legs, and volume parts create a visual feast, inviting viewers to explore the commode from different angles.

The creation of Egocentric posed several challenges for the designer. The multi-detail design required meticulous attention to detail and a perfect connection of different materials. The process of achieving the high-glossy lacquer finish, as well as incorporating the polished copper and filtered glass, took time and expertise. However, the result is a flawless piece that showcases the mastery of Italian craftsmanship.

Egocentric made its debut in 2014 in Veneto, with the first two items being sold to private collections in Russia and the United Arab Emirates. The official premiere of this design is planned for 2015 at various design fairs. This limited edition commode has already garnered recognition, winning the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2015. This award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
